9 Cars with Moustaches
It is that time of year again. A time when trees become naked, evenings are dark and nights are chilly. And men start to look a little unkempt.
Yes, it’s Movember, folks, when Mo Bros sprout facial hair for the awareness of men’s health. Movember is the leading charity for many aspects of men’s health, from prostate and testicular cancer to mental health and suicide prevention. And men are growing (often ridiculous) moustaches this month to collect sponsorship for this very worthy cause.
Studies have shown that the human brain identifies faces on inanimate objects. In fact, there’s a name for it: pareidolia. Cars are ripe for this, with headlights for eyes, door mirrors for ears and the various shapes of the grille for nose or mouth. We reckon there are some splendid moustaches too.

Fisker Karma
If Leslie Phillips was a car, he would have to be the jolly fine and neatly-clipped Fisker Karma. Ding Dong.
Hyundai Amica
It’s not all up-front. Hyundai managed its finest moustache moment on the rear of the first generation Amica. It’s a proper ‘70s handle bar ‘tache, too!
Fiat 500
The Fiat 500 has particularly neat whiskers: this stylish Italian carries off the pencil moustache - made famous by the likes of Clark Gable - extremely well.
Karmann Ghia
When it comes to having too much time on one’s hands, the top topiary ‘tache is the is perhaps the over-trimmed Karmann Ghia.
Hillman Imp
When the engine’s at the rear, like in the Hillman Imp, just a slender opening makes for very elegant whiskers.
BMW X5
Looking for big and bold? Then BMW X5's newest grille takes the top slot. Short in width but more than making it up on height, there’s no missing this bushy, Bavarian frontage.
BMW 507
From a different era of BMW design, the 507 is sleek and suave. Liberally-applied moustache wax is the only way to keep every whisker in place here.
Lancia Thesis
This Italian heavyweight was never released in the UK, even when Lancias were rebranded as Chryslers. The Thesis sported an extremely well-kempt ‘tache. We’re thinking Ron Mael from the band Sparks.
Lincoln MKT
Lincoln provides us with our transatlantic ‘tache. Like the cars from the States, its facial appendage is of large size.
