Why Lease a Vauxhall Grandland?
The current Grandland, launched in the UK in late 2024, is a much bigger and more modern car than the Grandland X it replaced. It is 173mm longer than its predecessor, which translates into more rear passenger space and a 550-litre boot that outsizes many mid-size SUV rivals, including the Nissan Qashqai and Ford Kuga.
It is also one of the few family SUVs you can lease as a mild hybrid, a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric car, all with the same body and cabin. That makes it easy to pick the powertrain that fits your driving and your tax position without compromising on space.
Top reasons to lease a Grandland
Big-SUV space at mid-size money – a 550-litre boot and more than 35 litres of interior storage make it a genuine family car.
Three electrified powertrains – self-charging Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid or fully Electric, all automatic.
Strong standard kit – every trim gets adaptive cruise control with stop and go, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, lane keep assist, a 10-inch digital driver display and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Comfort-focused seats – AGR-certified ergonomic driver's seat from Griffin trim upwards, endorsed by the German Campaign for Healthier Backs.
Low tax for company car drivers – 4% BiK on the Electric and 10% on the Plug-in Hybrid for 2026/27.
Fixed monthly cost – road tax included, manufacturer warranty for the typical lease term, and no worries about resale value when your contract ends.
Which Vauxhall Grandland Powertrain Is Right for You?
All four Grandland powertrains in our listing are automatic and share the same body and cabin. Here is how they compare on the numbers that matter for a lease.
1.2 Hybrid 145 – 145PS; 0–62mph in 10.2 seconds; 6-speed e-DCT auto; up to 51.4mpg; from 123g/km CO2; self-charging; 30% BiK; on Design, Griffin, GS and Ultimate.
1.6 Plug-in Hybrid 225 – 225PS; 0–62mph in 7.8 seconds; 7-speed e-DCS auto; up to 117.7mpg and up to 51 miles electric; 55g/km CO2; 3.7kW on-board charging (7.4kW optional); 10% BiK; on Design, GS and Ultimate.
Electric 213PS – 213PS; 0–62mph in 9.0 seconds; single-speed auto; up to 323 miles (WLTP); 0g/km CO2; up to 160kW DC charging, 20–80% in about 26–30 minutes; 4% BiK; on Design, Griffin, GS and Ultimate.
Electric AWD 325PS – 325PS; 0–62mph in 6.1 seconds; single-speed auto; up to 311 miles (WLTP); 0g/km CO2; up to 160kW DC charging, 20–80% in about 26 minutes; 4% BiK; on GS and Ultimate.
Vauxhall Grandland 1.2 Hybrid 145
The best-selling choice and the lowest-cost way into a Grandland lease. A 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol works with a 28PS electric motor and a 48-volt battery to produce 145PS. You never plug it in: the battery recharges itself as you drive and brake, and Vauxhall says it can run on electric power alone for more than half the time in urban driving.
It returns up to 51.4mpg, and with a 55-litre tank that gives a potential range of around 600 miles between fills. Choose it if you do a mix of driving, can't charge at home, or want the lowest monthly rental.
Vauxhall Grandland 1.6 Plug-in Hybrid 225
The quickest petrol-powered Grandland and the smart pick for company car drivers who can charge at home or work. A 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine and electric motor combine for 225PS and 350Nm, taking it from 0–62mph in 7.8 seconds. Its 21kWh battery provides up to 51 miles of electric-only driving (WLTP), enough to cover most daily commutes without using any petrol.
CO2 emissions of 55g/km put it in the 10% BiK band for 2026/27, a third of the Hybrid's 30%. A 3.7kW on-board charger and domestic cable come as standard; a faster 7.4kW charger is a factory option, so check the specification of your chosen deal if charging speed matters to you.
Vauxhall Grandland Electric Lease Deals (213PS)
The Grandland Electric uses a 73kWh (usable) battery and a 213PS front-mounted motor, giving up to 323 miles of range on the WLTP cycle and 0–62mph in 9.0 seconds. A heat pump is standard to protect range in cold weather, and 160kW rapid charging tops up from 20% to 80% in around half an hour.
For personal leasing, an electric Grandland means very low running costs if you charge at home. For business drivers, it sits in the 4% BiK band for 2026/27, the lowest rate of any Grandland. Since April 2025 electric cars pay road tax, but with Car Leasing it is included in your monthly rental.
Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD (325PS)
The flagship Grandland and Vauxhall's first fully electric car with all-wheel drive. A second 112PS motor on the rear axle lifts total output to 325PS and 509Nm, cutting the 0–62mph time to 6.1 seconds. It uses the same 73kWh battery for up to 311 miles of range (WLTP), with the same 160kW rapid charging.
Four drive modes (Normal, AWD, Sport and Eco) let you prioritise efficiency, traction or performance, and frequency-selective damping improves ride comfort. Choose it if you tow light loads, live somewhere with poor winter roads, or simply want the fastest Grandland. It is available on GS and Ultimate trims.
Vauxhall Grandland Trims Explained
There are four Grandland trims in our listing. Vauxhall has introduced Griffin as the new, better-equipped entry point for Hybrid and Electric models, while Design deals remain available on the vehicles we have listed.
Design
The original entry trim is far from basic. It includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and tail lights, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-inch digital driver display, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and automatic emergency braking. Available on Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Electric.
Griffin
Griffin takes everything from Design and adds black 19-inch alloys (20-inch diamond-cut wheels on the Electric), a contrasting black roof and tinted rear windows. Inside, it adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and an AGR-certified driver's seat with 10-way adjustment, pneumatic lumbar support and powered cushion angle. For most drivers it is the value sweet spot. Available on Hybrid and Electric (no Plug-in Hybrid).
GS
The sporty-looking GS adds diamond-cut alloy wheels, a black roof and dark-tinted rear windows, plus Intelli-LED headlights. The big upgrade inside is a 16-inch HD touchscreen with navigation, alongside heated front seats and steering wheel, the AGR-certified driver's seat and ambient lighting. Available on Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Electric and Electric AWD.
Ultimate
The range-topper adds Intelli-Lux HD pixel headlights with more than 50,000 pixels for sharper, glare-free high beam, an Intelli-HUD head-up display, a 360-degree camera, a powered tailgate, an uprated sound system and Intelli-Drive 2.0, which adds features including lane change assist and blind spot detection. The Ultimate versions in our listing are the fixed-roof models, without the optional panoramic sunroof. Available on Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Electric and Electric AWD.
Trim availability by powertrain
Design – Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and Electric.
Griffin – Hybrid and Electric only.
GS – Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Electric and Electric AWD.
Ultimate – Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, Electric and Electric AWD.
Which trim should you lease?
Lowest monthly cost: Griffin or Design – check both, as Griffin often undercuts Design despite having more kit.
Best all-rounder: GS – the 16-inch screen with built-in navigation and heated seats make a big difference day to day.
Maximum tech and safety: Ultimate – head-up display, 360-degree camera and pixel headlights for lots of night driving.
Vauxhall Grandland Running Costs and Tax
Road tax is included in every Car Leasing Grandland deal, so your main running costs are fuel or charging, insurance and, if you are a company car driver, Benefit-in-Kind tax. Here is how the powertrains compare for business users (2026/27 BiK rates, Vauxhall UK figures):
1.2 Hybrid 145 – 30% BiK: best for personal leasing, high-mileage drivers and anyone without home charging.
1.6 Plug-in Hybrid 225 – 10% BiK: best for company car drivers with home or workplace charging and a short daily commute.
Electric 213PS – 4% BiK: best for company car drivers and personal lessees who can charge at home.
Electric AWD 325PS – 4% BiK: best for drivers who want performance or extra traction with the lowest BiK.
Every Grandland on our listing has a list price under £40,000, so the petrol and Plug-in Hybrid versions avoid the Expensive Car Supplement on road tax. Electric models are also below the £50,000 threshold that applies to EVs.
Space, Practicality and Comfort
At 4,650mm long, the Grandland is Vauxhall's largest SUV and is built for family life. The 550-litre boot expands to 1,645 litres with the rear seats folded, and the 40/20/40 split rear bench lets you fold just the centre section for long items such as skis while still carrying two rear passengers. There are more than 35 litres of storage spaces around the cabin, including the Pixel Box, a covered area that hides and charges your phone.
The raised seating position gives a commanding view of the road, and the AGR-certified seats on Griffin, GS and Ultimate have adjustable lumbar support to reduce fatigue on long journeys. The Grandland is strictly a five-seater; if you need seven seats, its sister car the Peugeot 5008 is worth considering.
Technology and Safety
Every Grandland has a 10-inch digital driver display. Design and Griffin pair it with a 10-inch touchscreen, while GS and Ultimate get a 16-inch HD touchscreen with navigation. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range, and Pure Mode lets you switch off all but the essential displays for calmer night driving.
Standard safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, driver drowsiness alert, intelligent speed adaptation and adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Ultimate adds Intelli-Drive 2.0 for extra assistance on motorways. Euro NCAP awarded the Grandland four stars in May 2025, based on testing shared with its twin, the Peugeot 3008.
Personal Leasing a Vauxhall Grandland
Personal contract hire (PCH) lets you drive a brand-new Grandland for a fixed monthly payment. You pay an initial rental, followed by the monthly rentals for your chosen term, then simply hand the car back at the end. You choose the annual mileage up front, so pick a figure that matches your driving to avoid excess-mileage charges. Personal prices on this page include VAT.
Vauxhall Grandland Contract Hire for Business
Business contract hire is available to limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim up to 50% of the VAT on rentals for a car with private use, and 100% on any maintenance package. For company car drivers, choosing the Grandland Electric (4% BiK) or Plug-in Hybrid (10% BiK) rather than the Hybrid (30% BiK) can make a significant difference to personal tax bills. Business prices are shown excluding VAT.
Grandland vs Grandland X: What Changed?
The Grandland first arrived in 2017 as the Grandland X. Vauxhall dropped the X in 2021 with a facelift, and the all-new second-generation Grandland arrived in the UK in late 2024. The new car is longer, far roomier and is built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, which makes a fully electric version possible for the first time. If you have searched for a Grandland X lease, the current Grandland is its direct replacement and the model we offer new on lease today.
