Why lease the Lexus LBX?
Leasing spreads the cost of a brand-new LBX across fixed monthly payments, so you avoid the large upfront outlay of buying and you're not exposed to what the car is worth when the contract ends. At the end of the term you hand it back and can lease something new.
The LBX suits leasing particularly well for a few reasons:
It's a genuine premium small SUV. Lexus built the LBX specifically for European buyers who want a compact car without dropping down to a budget cabin. Even entry-level versions get a 9.8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control and adaptive cruise control.
The hybrid is self-charging. The 1.5-litre petrol-electric system recharges as you drive and brake, so you get the fuel savings of a hybrid with none of the charging admin of a plug-in or EV.
It holds a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The LBX was tested by Euro NCAP in 2024 and scored the full five stars, with 82% for adult occupant protection and 83% for child occupant protection.
Running costs are low for a premium badge. Real-world fuel economy sits around 60mpg depending on trim and wheel size, and Lexus's reliability record is among the strongest in the industry.
Lexus LBX trims explained: which one should you lease?
The LBX range walks up from well-equipped to genuinely luxurious. Here's what each trim adds, so you can match the spec to your budget.
Urban
The entry point, and already well equipped. Urban comes with 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, a 9.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, road-sign recognition and front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera. If you want a premium small SUV without paying for extras you won't use, Urban is the value pick.
Premium
Adds comfort and safety kit: synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert (useful when reversing out of a parking space). A sensible middle ground for most drivers.
Premium Plus & Premium Plus Design
Premium Plus steps up to 18-inch alloys, a larger 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a head-up display, a powered tailgate and a cabin air purification system. Premium Plus Design adds two-tone paint with a contrasting black roof and machined alloys for a sharper look.
Vibrant Edition
A style-led trim with 18-inch alloys, an electrically adjustable driver's seat and distinctive paint options, including a bi-tone finish. Sits between the Premium Plus and Takumi grades.
Takumi & Takumi Design
The range-topping grades. Takumi brings a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a 360-degree camera, multi-colour ambient lighting and an Advanced Safety Pack that includes automatic lane-change assist. Takumi Design layers on bi-tone paint and design detailing. The Takumi grades are also the only ones you can lease with E-Four all-wheel drive, if you want extra grip in poor conditions.
Personal vs business leasing on the Lexus LBX
You can lease the LBX either way, and the right choice depends on who's paying.
Personal leasing (PCH) is for private drivers. You pay a fixed monthly rental that includes VAT, and the price you see is the price you pay. This is the most popular route for anyone leasing in their own name.
Business leasing (BCH) is for companies, sole traders and partnerships. Prices are shown excluding VAT, and VAT-registered businesses can often reclaim a portion of the VAT on the rentals how much depends on how the car is used. As a hybrid with relatively low CO₂ emissions, the LBX can also be an efficient company-car choice on Benefit-in-Kind tax, though the exact BIK rate depends on the current tax year and the car's official CO₂ figure.
Both options appear on every deal on this page use the Personal / Business toggle to switch between them.
What affects your Lexus LBX lease price?
The monthly figure on a lease deal moves with four things:
Initial rental — the upfront payment, usually shown as a multiple of the monthly rental (for example 6 or 12 months). A larger initial rental lowers the monthly cost.
Contract length — most deals run 24, 36 or 48 months. Longer terms usually mean lower monthly payments.
Annual mileage — the more miles you agree to, the higher the rental. Be realistic: going over your agreed mileage means excess charges at the end.
Trim and drivetrain — a Takumi costs more per month than an Urban, and the all-wheel-drive Takumi versions sit at the top of the range.
Adjust these on any deal to see how the monthly price changes before you enquire.
