The Lexus Range Explained

Here's how the current Lexus models we lease line up, by size and powertrain. Availability and specification change as inventory updates, so check each model's deals for current details.

  • Lexus LBX – the smallest Lexus, a compact luxury SUV with self-charging hybrid power. Ideal for city and everyday driving where you want a premium badge in a small footprint.

  • Lexus UX – a stylish urban crossover with self-charging hybrid power, sitting just above the LBX.

  • Lexus NX – Lexus's popular mid-size family SUV, available as a self-charging hybrid or a plug-in hybrid for longer electric-only running.

  • Lexus RX – the large luxury SUV that established the Lexus SUV line, available with self-charging hybrid or plug-in hybrid power.

  • Lexus RZ – Lexus's dedicated fully electric SUV, for drivers who want to go all-electric.

  • Lexus ES – the executive saloon, available with self-charging hybrid or fully electric power.

  • Lexus LM – a luxury multi-purpose vehicle built for executive and chauffeur-style travel, with self-charging hybrid power.

Lease a Lexus by Body Type

Not sure which shape suits you? Here's the range grouped by body style:

  • Compact SUVs: LBX and UX — easy to park, premium and efficient.

  • Family SUVs: NX (hybrid or plug-in hybrid) and the larger RX — space, comfort and technology for family life.

  • Electric SUV: RZ — Lexus's fully electric model.

  • Saloon: ES — an executive saloon in hybrid or electric form.

  • Luxury MPV: LM — first-class travel for rear-seat passengers.

Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid or Electric — Which Lexus Powertrain?

Most of the Lexus range is electrified. Here's how the three powertrains differ, so you can match one to how you drive.

Self-charging hybrid (LBX, UX, and available on NX, RX, ES). A petrol engine works with an electric motor, and the battery recharges itself as you drive — you never plug it in. Best if you want lower fuel use and effortless, quiet town driving without changing your routine. This is the technology Lexus is most known for, and the one independent reliability surveys rate most highly.

Plug-in hybrid (available on NX and RX). A larger battery you charge at home or on the public network gives a meaningful electric-only range for shorter trips, with the petrol engine there for longer journeys. Best if you can charge at home and do a lot of local miles, but still want the flexibility of petrol for long trips. Plug-in hybrids can also be attractive as company cars.

Fully electric (RZ, and the electric ES). No petrol engine at all — zero tailpipe emissions and the lowest running costs if you can charge regularly. Best if you're ready to go all-electric and have reliable charging access.

Which Lexus Should I Lease?

  • For a compact, easy-to-run luxury car: the LBX or UX hybrid SUVs.

  • For a family SUV: the NX (hybrid or plug-in hybrid) for most people, or the larger RX for more space.

  • For fully electric driving: the RZ SUV, or the electric version of the ES saloon.

  • For executive or chauffeur-style travel: the LM.

  • For a saloon rather than an SUV: the ES, in hybrid or electric form.

Why Lease a Lexus?

Reliability you can count on. Lexus was named the UK's Most Reliable Brand in the Auto Trader Drivers' Choice Awards in 2025 — the fourth year in a row it has taken the title, based on a survey of more than 225,000 UK motorists. For a lease, that dependability means fewer surprises over your contract.

A long manufacturer warranty. Every new Lexus comes with Lexus's manufacturer warranty, which can extend up to 10 years (an initial three-year warranty followed by up to seven further years of service-activated cover, subject to Lexus's terms). Your lease vehicle is covered by that warranty throughout a typical contract.

The benefits of leasing. Leasing lets you drive a brand-new Lexus for a fixed monthly cost over an agreed contract, then switch to a new model at the end. Compared with buying, it usually means a lower upfront cost and lower monthly payments, with flexible contract lengths, mileage allowances and initial rentals to suit your budget. Optional maintenance can be built into your monthly payment.

Personal and Business Lexus Leasing

You can lease a Lexus personally or through your business.

  • Personal leasing: monthly prices are shown including VAT.

  • Business leasing: monthly prices are shown excluding VAT. Business users may benefit from tax efficiencies, and the plug-in hybrid and fully electric models in the Lexus range can be particularly attractive as company cars — check the individual deal and your own tax position.
