Which Lexus RZ Should You Lease?

Lexus RZ 350e

The 350e is the entry point and the version Lexus expects most UK customers to choose. A single 224hp motor drives the front wheels, and the 77kWh battery delivers up to 346 miles of range — comfortably enough for most drivers and a big improvement on the original RZ. It's smooth, quiet and efficient, and the lowest-cost way into an RZ lease.

Lexus RZ 500e

The 500e adds a second motor for Lexus's Direct4 all-wheel drive, raising output to 380hp and cutting the 0–62mph time to around 4.6 seconds, while still offering up to around 311 miles of range. It's the all-rounder of the range: quick, secure in all weathers and available up to luxurious Takumi trim.

Lexus RZ 550e F Sport

The flagship 550e F Sport is the first Lexus with steer-by-wire — a yoke-style wheel with no mechanical link to the front axle — plus Interactive Manual Drive, which simulates gear shifts for a more engaging feel. With 402hp and 0–62mph in about 4.4 seconds, bespoke suspension and F Sport styling, it's the driver's RZ. Offered in F Sport and F Sport Takumi.

The 71kWh run-out versions (300e and 450e)

Our listing also includes a small number of earlier 71kWh RZ 300e and 450e Direct4 cars in Premium+ and Takumi trim. These are the pre-upgrade versions, with a slightly smaller battery and shorter range. They're worth a look if the spec and price suit, but most drivers will prefer the newer 77kWh 350e/500e for the longer range.

Premium

The entry grade is generously equipped, with LED lighting, a powered tailgate, a panoramic roof, heated front seats and steering wheel, the Lexus Link multimedia system with a large touchscreen, and the full Lexus Safety System+ suite of driver aids.

Premium+

Premium+ (Premium Plus) adds further comfort and technology over Premium — the expected big-seller on the 350e — with upgraded equipment while keeping the RZ's clean, understated look.

Takumi

The luxury-focused Takumi grade adds the most indulgent equipment, including a dimmable panoramic roof, an upgraded premium sound system and plusher interior finishes. It's the RZ at its most refined.

F Sport / F Sport Takumi

Exclusive to the 550e, F Sport adds 20-inch aero wheels, front and rear spoilers, steer-by-wire, Interactive Manual Drive, Active Sound Control, F Sport seats and Ultrasuede upholstery. F Sport Takumi tops it with the fullest luxury specification.

Range, Charging and Running Costs

The current RZ uses a 77kWh battery that delivers up to 346 miles of range on the 350e  a significant step up from the original car. The 500e manages up to around 311 miles and the 550e F Sport up to around 287 miles, with the 18-inch wheels giving the longest range on each.

Charging peaks at 150kW on a DC rapid charger, taking the battery from 10–80% in around 30 minutes, and the upgraded battery adds pre-conditioning so it charges faster and more consistently in cold weather. At home, a 7kW wallbox is the practical choice for overnight charging. Because the RZ is fully electric, running costs are low and for company car drivers, zero tailpipe emissions mean it sits in the lowest Benefit-in-Kind band.

Space, Practicality and Comfort

Despite its sleek, coupe-SUV profile, the RZ is genuinely spacious inside, thanks to its purpose-built EV platform and low, flat floor. There's a generous boot and plenty of room for passengers, and the cabin is trimmed in sustainable, leather-alternative materials to a very high standard.
